The 20oz Marine Trailer Bunk Carpet is a versatile product that can be used for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. It is a high-quality carpet with a rubber backing, making it fade-resistant, durable, and easy to handle and install.

To begin the installation process, the first step is to unbolt and remove the existing bunk boards from the trailer. Then, the existing bunk carpet should be taken off, and any glue or debris should be sanded away before applying the new carpet. It's important to examine the old bunk boards for any damage and replace them if necessary.

Next, the size of the boat bunks should be measured to determine the amount of bunk carpet needed. It is highly recommended to staple the new bunk carpeting, as this will help preserve it.

Before carpeting the trailer bunks, the bolts used to secure the bunks to the trailer should be inserted into the already drilled holes on the bunk board.

The new carpet, which has been cut to size, should then be unrolled and laid out with the rubber backing facing up. The bunk board should be placed evenly along the edge of the laid-out carpet, leaving enough carpet on either end to completely wrap each end of the bunk. The carpet should be held to the board, and the new carpet should be rolled onto the bunk board, stapling down the first side. Once the board is completely covered, staples should be applied every 2 to 3 inches along the bottom of the bunk board to ensure a secure and snug fit. If measured correctly, there should be about 2 inches or so of carpet left to overlap the first initial bottom side, and this excess carpet should be stapled down on top of the existing carpet.

The newly wrapped bunk board should then be placed with the bottom side up one last time, and the excess carpet at either end should be wrapped and secured with glue or staples. The excess carpet should be overlapped and secured to the bottom side of the bunk.

These steps should be repeated for the remaining bunks.
